How we deliver it
Batts are cut to the cavity, without gaps or compression, around every box and pipe.
Vapour barrier goes on the warm side, lapped and sealed at joints and penetrations.
Walls are ready for inspection before board, so nothing has to be opened again.
Common questions
Why does a vapour barrier matter on the prairies?
In a cold climate, warm indoor air carries moisture toward the cold outside. A continuous vapour barrier on the warm side stops it condensing inside the wall, where it causes mould and rot.
Does insulation help with noise between suites?
Yes. Acoustic insulation in demising walls and floors absorbs sound in the cavity. It works with the wall assembly as a whole, including the board layers and how gaps are sealed, to reach the sound rating on the drawings.
