How we deliver it
Board type, layers and fastening are confirmed against the assembly called for on the drawings.
Board is hung square with tight joints, so taping starts on a flat, even surface.
Each floor is handed to taping with beads and trims on.
Common questions
What is Type X drywall?
Type X is fire-resistant gypsum board with glass fibres in the core. It holds together longer in a fire and is used in rated walls and ceilings, such as corridors, suite separations, stairwells and shafts.
What makes a wall fire-rated or acoustic?
The whole assembly: stud size and spacing, board type and number of layers, insulation, fastening and sealing. A rating only holds if the wall is built exactly as the tested assembly describes, which is why we build to the assembly on the drawings.
Send the drawings and a target schedule. One crew covers the full interior, so add any other trades to the same quote.
